In 2015 the actor Helmert Woudenberg played former European Commissioner of Agriculture Sicco Mansholt (1908-1995), a steeled proponent of scaling up in agriculture, realising at the end of his career the devastating outcomes of his own policy: immense surpluses and damage to small scale farming and nature.
